About sst1.1
somatostatin 1
sst1 is orthologous to human SST, somatostatin . This gene encodes a peptide hormone that modulates neurotransmission. Zebrafish have 6 different somatostatin genes.
Expression pattern
sst1.1 is expressed in the habenula, neurosecretary pre-optic area NPO, subpallium, preoptic area, posterior tuberculum, ventral thalamus, hypothalamus, interpeduncular nucleus, medulla oblongata.
