Biosecurity:  How to maintain the different possible levels of biosecurity and how to minimise the risks. 

TIME: 1.5 hours

 Health Monitoring: This will cover multiple topics, including different methods to screen a facility for pathogens, pain prevention, and how to identify different clinical expressions.  The course will end in an interactive quiz. 

TIME: 1.5 hours

 Systems:  Water is the basis for any fish husbandry.  This will cover water quality and how to maintain it, including testing and filtration units, as well as how this can impact fish health. 

TIME: 1 hour

 Handling and Sexing: This will cover how to determine if a fish is male or female by looking at minute detail. Additionally, attendees will learn how to handle fish at different ages and must be able to demonstrate this knowledge.

 Breeding and Colony Management:  This will cover different breeding techniques in general, and how to maintain a genetic strain of zebrafish. 

TIME: 1 hour

 Live Food Culturing: This will cover how to culture and maintain healthy feed stocks, namely rotifer and artemia.

TIME: 30 mins

 Feeding:  This will cover the different possible methods of feeding or devising a feed protocol for zebrafish and the factors that need to be considered. 

TIME: 30 mins

 Larval Rearing: This will cover the large variety of different protocols and preferences used throughout the zebrafish community, including housing and feeding, as well as covering the different life stages of zebrafish. 

TIME: 30 mins

 Housing:  How to properly house zebrafish in tanks, and what factors that need to be considered in order to maintain a healthy colony. 

TIME: 15 mins

 Environmental Enrichment: This will cover how enrichment is addressed and incorporated into zebrafish husbandry, including discussions on whether or not structural enrichment is necessary.
